Arcana Evolved League : Interest Meeting

by @ 6:53 pm. Filed under Event Descriptions

So you like Role-Playing Games?

But are you actually any good at them?

Grab a team and find out.

Annoucing a first for the Louisville Game Shop: a Role-Playing League.
We will be playing Arcana Evolved, which uses the d20 rules but has an innovative magic system, new races, and classes that reinterpret classic fantasy archetypes with awesome results. If you are looking for a chance to play something new without having to learn a new system, or you’re sick of GM-ing all the time and your lazy friends won’t do it for you, then this is your chance to get in on a good game.

Each team will consist of four or five players. There will be a series of 3 adventures, each one lasting one or two sessions. Characters will start at 4th level (attributes will be generated through the point buy system in the DMG) and will advance one level between each adventure. As I currently imagine it, each team will play once a month, so there will be minimum time commitment on the part of the players. I think that we’ll be starting in October, with each team playing on a different Tuesday night.

There will be an entry fee of $5.00 per player, all of which will go to game aides and prize support for the winning team. Teams will be scored on accomplishment of the mission and role-playing. Costumes are not encouraged.

If this is interesting to you, then please come to the interest meeting on 09/14/06 at 6:30 at the Louisville Game Shop. We can iron out what our expectations are for the league and you can ask me questions about the system.

I hope to see you there,
Geoff Runge
